I am a board member of the Chanticleer Community Association, a condominium association in Cherry Hill, NJ.  This is a large condominium development.

 

The association is always seeking ways to improve safety on our streets in and out of the community as well as the roads into the different sections of the community.

 

To achieve this I looked for a manufacturer of red/amber reflectors to install on the retaining wall areas of the complex.  Your company, as you know, manufactures special red/amber road markings that are usually used on road beds.  I modified these reflectors with stainless steel self-drilling screws that went directly into the wood of the retaining walls.

 

I have received very positive feed-back not only from the board members of the association, but, most importantly, residents who were very complimentary of the results.  Needless to say, I am very pleased.

Dear Satu,

At long last we have completed our five-yearly repairs and renewals program at Farmstead Court. This has involved re-marking the communal parking area, upgrading outside lighting, redecorating the exteriors of the three apartment blocks and, of course, fitting the K-lites to the wooden bollards leading to the parking area. Ever since the development was built in 1991 the bollards have caused continual problems, with drivers scraping their sills or doors on them, particularly during the long winter nights. I did inform you in my first email that the development was for retired people, consequently the cost to them of removing the bollards would have been prohibitive, particularly as some of them are on fixed pensions. However, the K-lites have proved a boon and have been welcomed by all the residents. Indeed they have become a bit of an attraction with three or four local businessmen who are not only impressed by them but have asked me for your email address!

I am enclosing three photos of them now in position. Unfortunately I am unable to get a decent photo at the moment of their effectiveness at night since it does not get dark here at the moment until about midnight and I don't fancy staying up that late to go outside with a camera. The neighbors might start talking!!!!!
I will wait another month or so for that evening photo.
